since when does creating jobs equate to creating prosperity? didn't karl marx want to keep everybody busy too?
i don't know about you, but i'm pursuing the classical definition of the american dream: riches. i hope i don't have to have a job for the rest of my life. i want enough riches to buy my freedom. interestingly enough, at that point i'll probably create a lot of jobs myself...

massive piracy crackdown
the executive branch is beginning a new crackdown on piracy. our veep cluelessly proclaimed:
it's smash and grab, no different than a guy walking down fifth avenue and smashing the window at tiffany's and reaching in and grabbing what's in the window.
so basically, if somebody said, built, or created something first, nobody else can say, build, or create something similar again without it being considered theft of intellectual property. interesting. i wonder if this could ever be used to stifle free speech?
